Free Zoom Class on Wednesday/Thursday! Resting with the Sutras
Join Us for Sutra 1:33 - The Four Immeasurables
Are you curious about what my new Resting with the Sutras class is all about?
I want to invite you to join a special Free Resting with the Sutras class on Zoom this Wednesday night 7:30pm New York Time (Thursday morning 7:30am Bali Time) to experience it!
Resting with the Sutras is the embodiment of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. We chant a sutra, practice several yin shapes while I continue to teach about the sutras meaning, and then drop into a 20-minute meditation to integrate the practice. It’s basically a parasympathetic reset, or a visit to the “Brain Spa” as I like to call it. And this class is special because I will be teaching it live in the Mindful Bali yoga shala with this current YTT group!
I chose one of my favourite sutras for this special free class: Sutra 1.33.
Join me for a free community class exploring one of the most practical and heart-opening teachings of the Yoga Sutras: Sutra 1.33.
In this practice, we’ll move through the four qualities of the heart — friendliness, compassion, joy, and equanimity — and explore how the way we relate to others directly shapes the state of our mind.
We’ll begin with 15 minutes of chanting the sutra in Sanskrit, allowing the words to settle into the body and breath. From there, we’ll move into a 45-minute yin yoga practice, where each posture becomes a space to reflect, soften, and embody these teachings. We’ll close with a 20-minute meditation, guiding you through these four qualities to cultivate a mind that is more clear, calm, and at peace.
This is a practice of releasing comparison, softening judgment, and learning how to keep your heart open… without losing yourself.
✨ All levels welcome
✨ No prior experience with yoga philosophy or chanting needed
Come as you are — and leave feeling more grounded, spacious, and connected within.
