Yesterday I wrote to you all about my Bali New Year’s Eve 2026 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training: how powerful it will be to step into 2026 with intention, in community, immersed in the practices of yoga. I felt so excited up sharing it with you, because I can already feel the energy of that time of year. (The YTT is Dec 28, 2025 – Jan 17, 2026).
And today, I realized… the very next training I’ll be hosting in 2026 also carries an incredibly special occasion with it.
From March 14 – April 4, 2026, I’ll be leading another 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training here in Bali. And during those three weeks together, we will experience something I can only describe as life-changing: Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence.
My First Nyepi
I’ll never forget my first Nyepi. The night before, the streets of Ubud were alive with fire, drums, and laughter as the Ogoh-Ogoh parades filled the roads. Towering paper-mache demons were carried on bamboo frames, representing everything that was ready to be released - fear, anger, resentment, ego.
And then, at sunrise the next day, everything stopped.
For 24 hours, the entire island became still. No motorbikes buzzing. No airplanes in the sky. No lights, no noise, no movement. Even the dogs seemed quieter. It felt like the whole island was breathing together.
I remember feeling a deep, unshakable peace settle in my bones. It was like the teachings of yoga had come alive all around me.
Experiencing Nyepi in YTT
This training will give you the chance to live this incredible day, not as a tourist, but as part of a community of yogis in deep practice.
We’ll go together to witness the Ogoh-Ogoh parade the night before, celebrating Balinese culture at its most vibrant.
On Nyepi itself, we’ll honor the silence—moving inward with meditation, journaling, gentle yoga, and reflection.
You’ll feel what it’s like when an entire island turns inward, creating a field of stillness that amplifies everything happening in your heart.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and to weave it into your teacher training journey makes it even more profound.
Two Trainings, Two Sacred Energies
I love that these two early-year trainings in 2026 each carry their own unique energy:
December 28 - January 17 → Bali New Year’s, fresh beginnings, planting seeds of intention.
March 14 – April 4 → Nyepi, sacred silence, renewal, and rebirth.
Each offers a special doorway into yoga—not just as a practice, but as a lived experience aligned with the rhythms of nature and culture around us. You can book both of these trainings here!
If your heart is calling you to become a yoga teacher, or to deepen your own practice in a way that changes you forever, I can’t wait to welcome you to Bali during these magical moments.
✨ Two once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Two powerful thresholds of transformation. Which one will you step through?
