TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual Assault
Today I did an Instagram Live with Rory, who I run alcohol free yoga & meditation retreats with (our next one is in May - jump in here and get one of the last spots!). We talked about Īśvāra Praṇidhāna (surrender) and how it shows up in real life. I asked Rory, “How do you know if you’re practicing surrender?” What he said stuck with me: "If you're practicing surrender, you move through the five stages of grief more quickly."
That lit something up in me. Because grief is such a big part of life - but we aren’t taught how to name it when it doesn’t apply to death. If we can’t name it, we can’t move through it. Additionally, I haven’t been able to witness or be aware of my grief process throughout my life until recently.
