#161 Closing the Circle: Rooting in Bali, Rising into Purpose
The Yoga Entrepreneurship Course - Last Chance to join me live!
Yesterday, I officially closed my company in the United Arab Emirates.
It felt like the end of an era.
For years, my Middle East business was a bridge between my old life and the new one. It carried me out of my school teacher job, into sobriety, and into the adventures of the last five years. It helped me become a traveling yoga entrepreneur. From Panama to Costa Rica, London to Vienna, India to the Maldives, that little company became the foundation that supported my dreams.
But everything is impermanent. In yoga we honour what has served its purpose and then release it. Closing the company is a practice of non-attachment. A bow to the past, and a step into freedom.
This past year has been one of deep reevaluation. After the SA I realized: what I want now is not more motion, but stillness. Not more scattering of energy, but rooting. I want to pour myself fully into Bali. Into teaching here, leading kirtans, and building my own shala here.
It is another chapter. Just as our practice evolves, so do our lives.
The Lesson of My Journey
When I got sober in 2019, I had the thought: there must be more to life than this. That realization sparked everything. (I actually had a profound one-on-one session with a psychic, Dan, who I have recommended to so many people! He told me that I was going to be a full time yoga teacher and open my own retreat center. You can book with him here!)
I started building The Mindful Life Practice. I did it from scratch with no savings. Through digital marketing, podcasts, and social media, I grew it into a business that not only paid my bills, but allowed me to quit my job, pay off debt, move to Bali, and do a lot of traveling.
It wasn’t luck - it was work. It was creativity. It was resilience. And it was faith.
Why I Teach Yoga Entrepreneurship
Most Yoga Teacher Trainings don’t prepare you for the business side of yoga. They teach you asana, but they don’t teach you how to actually make a living sharing yoga.
That’s where my Yoga Entrepreneurship Training comes in.
In this course, I share exactly what I did to grow my business from the ground up:
How to identify your niche and unique offering.
How to create your website, build your online presence, and use social media authentically.
How to grow your community through podcasting, digital marketing, and storytelling.
How to shift from teaching in studios for low pay to creating your own thriving offerings.
I can’t guarantee you’ll have overnight success - but I can give you a starter kit. My Yoga Entrepreneurship course contains a roadmap, mentorship, and inspiration that carried me here. And I know that if you do the work, the results will come.
Please note that this requires a LOT of work! It won’t come overnight. There is a lot of homework you have to do between each session.
This fall will be the last time I teach it live before moving it on-demand. We’ll meet from October 7–December 16 (Tuesday mornings Bali / Monday nights EST). After this, you’ll still be able to access the course at any time, but this is your last chance to be guided directly by me in real time.
If you’re interested in the Yoga Entrepreneurship course you can join us here!
Closing and Opening
Just as I closed my company in Dubai, I’m also closing a chapter of constant travel and chaos. I’m ready for more grounding, more depth, more presence.
And I want the same for you. If you’ve felt the call to step out of survival mode and into purpose - to create a yoga business that sustains your life and serves others - then this course is for you.
Yoga is not just about stilling the mind on your mat. It’s about having the courage to live in alignment with your dharma.
And sometimes that begins with the choice to believe it’s possible.
Are you ready to step into that?
